This is a project for six single adults in the Stonehouse area of Plymouth. The building is comprised of six self-contained flats – all with their own front door, utility bills, bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The flat is fully furnished and in addition to the personal space provided, it also has access to communal laundry and lounge area. Plymouth City Centre is either a walk or short bus ride away but there are local shops close by. Staff are available every weekday 9.30am to 6pm and for slightly less time over the weekend. As the accommodation is a very independent model, the project may suit someone who already has some independent skills, as sometimes learning cooking/shopping skills, paying bills and maintaining a tenancy can be too much for someone who has never done it before. Often people have moved into Rougemont or Peverell Park Rd first and once their skills have developed, moved into Durnford St as the next step.
