Volunteering

Colebrook can offer volunteers a number of opportunities to get involved in our various services.
Whether you would like to sit on a management committee or get out and about talking to people through our community development work, we have an opportunity for you.

LINK (Local Involvement Network) - gathering people’s views on local Health as well as Social Care services and improving services.

Plymouth LINK has opportunities to get involved in………
-Stewardship Group – meeting with others to plan the work of the LINk.
-Visiting Team – trained to visit services to check out LINk priorities.
-Ambassador – promoting the work of the LINk at events in the community as well as helping out in the LINk office.

Interested in gardening and the environment?
Pride & Prejudice is a new and exciting recovery based project for service users, carers and everyone with experiences of mental health. We encourage people to take pride in their green spaces via a range of activities. So are YOU interested in : Designing Garden Spaces Helping with promotion, publicity or fundraising Digging, planting or choosing materials Taking Photographs / Moving Picture Computer Design Helping to manage budgets Woodwork or Sculpture Conservation / Gardening Skills Sponsoring a green space Supporting someone else to take part Meeting new people Or do you have any ideas? 3PIPS (Plymouth Involvement and Participation Service) – Improving mental health services for service users and carers.

PIPS would like mental health service users and carers to…...
-Get involved in the running and work of PIPS.
-To support PIPS to work with services and commissioners to make changes.


Carers Champions – providing support to adult carers of adults across the city.

4 Volunteers with Carers Champions will have the opportunity to:
-Work with carers in all drop-in’s.
- Support workers in delivering carers’ awareness training to professionals.
- Promote the service via outreach in community settings.
- Attend events, socials and other care related activities.

  



Colebrook Management Committee – Committee Members play an important role in governing our organisation.

5 It requires a diverse group of members from different backgrounds who offer a variety of skills, knowledge and experience.

We are currently keen to recruit members: 
- with a BME or diversity background 
- with finance or property expertise and knowledge
- eager to be involved in their local community and committed to social inclusion.
