Pride & Prejudice Project
Pride & Prejudice Project
The Pride and Prejudice has had a busy start with a number of projects l beginning. One project is very keen to have ago at creating a vegetable patch and planting some fruit bushes. Whilst another project is all about transforming a community space, idea’s that have been raised are to brighten up the area with a coat of paint. To use some pots to plant some colourful flowers in and make the area a nice place to sit in the summer.
There are many people involved in the project coming from all areas of the community. Reason’s why people have said they decided to become part of the project are:
- A good combination of physical exercise and mental musing
- To be involved in the gardening and to meet new people
- To get out and do something to help others and myself
- To boost confidence and self esteem
- To keep myself busy
- To improve gardening skills
- To improve green areas
- I feel that this may help me for the future perhaps a course at university
- To mix with people who have experience of mental distress
- To be involved in environmental projects and help to improve my local community
- That volunteering would be a good way of rejoining the “workplace” at a slower pace
- That I care a lot about our environment and the way people live together
- That I like helping people and I would like to better myself
Below are some pictures of the plans that the people involved in the project have come up with.
